Mrs. Queen R. Macon

Mrs. Queen Richardson Macon, 94, of Enfield, North Carolina, daughter of the late Febbie and Sam Pete Richardson, was born on September 8, 1929 in Halifax County, North Carolina. She departed this life, peacefully, at her home on Saturday, December 23, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.
Queen joined Ivory Hill Baptist Church at an early age and remained a member until she was called home.
She was a loving and devoted wife who was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Roy C. Macon and to this union, they were blessed with ten children.
Her pastime was watching her favorite TV show, "Steve Harvey", her North Carolina Tarheels basketball, playing Pac Man and fishing.
In addition to her parents and husband, Queen was preceded in death by her brothers: Mack, Richard, Alex, Braswell, Tennice, Ras, Mark, and Willie.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, ten children: Alma and Ollie of the home, George, Melvin (Shirley), Queen (Tom), Annette, Randolph (Gloria), Winston, Kenneth (Amanda) and Mary, all of Enfield, NC; one brother Arnold (Maggie); 28 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; seven sisters-in-law: Madelean Evans, Beaufort Lynch, Eva Richardson, Arlene Macon (Henry), Marie (Sam), Emma Macon and Addie Richardson; a very special nephew: Randy Richardson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A Visitation for Mrs. Macon will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Ivory Hill Baptist Church located at 4505 Medoc Mountain Road, Enfield, North Carolina. Funeral services will follow the visitation beginning at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place immediately following the service in the Ivory Hill Church Cemetery.
