Quimby Byron Orr

Quimby Byron Orr, age 90, of Cumming, GA, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023. He was born in 1932, to the late John C. and Sarah Howard Orr. Quimby was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Cumming, GA. He was a proud United States Army veteran.  He worked for sears for 33 years, and then worked for Forsyth County Parks and Recreation Department for 25 years before retiring. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to many. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 6 of his siblings.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Chlorene Hughes Orr; children, Byron (Cindy) Orr, and Marie (Jim) Cleveland; sister, Yvonne Smallwood; grandchildren, Brodie Orr, Clark Herring, Grant Herring, and Audrey Herring; great grandchildren, Connor, Catherine, Cameron, Hudson, and Harper Herring; along with many other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, GA with Rev. Dany Bennett, Rev. Doug Carnes, and Rev. Clark Herring officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens in Cumming, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
