Quinn Stegall Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jul. 4, 2025.
Quinn YongQing Stegall, a vibrant soul known for her infectious laughter and relentless zest for life, left this world too soon on June 29, 2025, at the age of 21, when struck by a drunk driver while helping at the scene of an accident in Round Rock, Texas. Born on Christmas Day in 2003 in Bengbu, China, and adopted by her parents on July 19, 2005, Quinn was a gift that kept on giving, lighting up the lives of everyone she met.
Quinn's life was a series of adventures and achievements. She was the beloved daughter of Andrew and Laura Stegall, and the loving older sister to Tyler, who she could always be counted on to offer her companionship and advice. Her family was her rock, and she was theirs. Raised in Round Rock, Texas, she moved through the hallways of Teravista Elementary, Hopewell Middle School, and Stony Point High School, where she was a fixture in many clubs and organizations.
Many amazing teachers contributed to the academic success that led her to Blinn College, where she not only earned her Associate's in Engineering but also juggled being on the soccer team. Quinn was never one to shy away from a challenge. She worked diligently and kept moving forward, even when faced with setbacks along the way. She was set to take on her next big adventure at Texas A&M's School of Architecture this fall. Her dreams were as big as her heart, and she was very excited to participate in the Aggie traditions and be a part of rec sports and campus clubs this Fall.
Speaking of soccer, Quinn lived and breathed the sport since she was four years old. Her four years on the Varsity team at Stony Point were just the beginning. She played at Blinn College until a knee injury last year and had recently started playing local competitive soccer on various teams. Her love for the game was only matched by the friendships she made on her teams. Quinn worked at Plucker's Wings in both Round Rock and College Station. She considered everyone she had a conversation with as a friend and would offer her time and assistance generously.
Her interests were as diverse as her circle of friends. From being a foodie who could debate the best hot sauce and make a mean ramen, to her love for spending time in nature. Quinn would seek out and embrace life's simple pleasures.
She had a soft spot for cars, particularly her beloved white truck, which she drove with the pride of a captain steering her ship. Origami was another of Quinn's unexpected talents, and she could often be found folding paper into intricate shapes while studying or plotting her next escapade. The gym was her second home, and long drives were her therapy, where she'd crank up the tunes and sing off-key with the confidence of a rock star.
Quinn's Christian faith was growing and she had been attending church at Celebration in Round Rock regularly. She approached life with a spirit of kindness and generosity, embodying the love she believed in so deeply which was evident in her many friendships and love for her many cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents. Her dog Scooby has been her loyal companion for the past 17 years.
Quinn's life was a never-ending supply of joy for those who knew her. She left us too soon, but the mark she made on this world is indelible. She approached life as she did a soccer game: with relentless optimism, a game plan for success, and the will to keep pushing forward, no matter how difficult the circumstances.
As we say goodbye to Quinn, let's remember her with the joy she brought into our lives. She was a daughter, a sister, a friend, and a beacon of light that will continue to shine in the memories of all who were lucky enough to know her. Quinn, you will be profoundly missed, but never forgotten. Your legacy will live on in every burst of laughter, every goal scored, and every life you touched.
