R. Luann Bowen
1943-2025
R. Luann (Williams) Bowen, 81, of The Village at Brookfield, formerly of Woodgate, NY, mother of Dr. Margaret Ann Marcone and Jennifer L. Cook, died on Sunday, December 28, 2025 at the Danbury Hospital.
Mrs. Bowen was born in Utica, NY on December 31, 1943, the daughter of J. Archibald and Margaret (Payne) Williams. She attended NY schools and graduated form Syracuse University with a Master's degree in Music Education.
Mrs. Bowen taught music education in the public school system and privately.
She was a member of the Etudes Musical Society of Utica, NY, enjoyed ballet, was a water and snow ski enthusiast, involved in theatre productions and painting.
In addition to her daughters, Dr. Margaret Ann Marcone and her husband Andrew Malcolm and Jennifer L. Cook and her husband Robert, she is also survived by four grandchildren, Danielle Marcone, Emily Marcone, Alesi Cook and Jordan Cook
Friends will be received at the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9 Granville Ave., Danbury on Saturday, January 3, 2026 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
A Memorial Service will take place later this year at the Woodgate Chapel, Woodgate, NY
Burial will take place in Prospect Cemetery, Prospect, NY in the spring.

Luann I miss you so much.... I miss our Friday night movie night. I miss us being silly and laughing for no reason. The four years I have known you was a blessing. I was grateful to to pray with you.God brought us together, I will see you again.
