R. Kenneth Hart Jr.

Robert Kenneth (Ken) Hart, Jr. August 1930 – July 2024
Ken passed away on July 30, three days short of his 94th birthday surrounded by loved ones. Born in New York City, Ken grew up in Short Hills, NJ. He was a graduate of Colgate University and a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He worked 15 years with Avon Products in Marketing and Divisional Sales Management. He was an International Executive VP of Vanda Beauty Counselor, a sister company of Tupperware while living in Winter Park, FL. Ken concluded his professional career working ten years as Senior VP with Drake Beam Morin, Inc., in Coral Gables, FL, which at the time, was the largest outplacement firm in the world. While there, he assisted top executives and employees of major companies in transitioning to new employment.
At retirement, he and Jean, his wife of 67 years, retired to Cashiers, NC where they spent many happy years. Ken was an avid golfer and football fan. He served as president of Sapphire Mountain Golf Association and was a member of the Highlands Methodist Church.
In 2006, he and Jean returned to Florida to reside in St. Augustine, FL to be closer to their children. Ken is survived by his wife, Jean and his four children – Kathy Hart McLain (Jeffrey) of Orlando, FL; Susan Hart Finch (Lowell) of Melbourne, FL; Robert (Bob) Kenneth Hart (Cheri) of Land O'Lakes, FL; Nancy Hart Stroud (Stephen) of St. Augustine, FL; four grandchildren: Ryan Finch, Jason Finch, Tristan Hart, Maitlin Hart and five great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his father, Robert Kenneth Hart, Sr. and his stepmother, Marguerite Moeller Hart.
He will be buried at Ponte Vedra Valley Cemetery. A private family service will be held graveside at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Colgate University. https://www.givecampus.com/campaigns/48752/donations/new?a=8379315
