R. Kenneth Howell, born April 4, 1939, passed away on June 18, 2024. He leaves behind his wife, Jeanette, and son Heath (Julie); Grandchildren, Austin (Taylor), Tyler, Grant (Carrie), Cady Ormsbee (Matt); Great-Grandchildren, Kyndall, Baylee, Fischer, Ava, Mason, Madison; Sister, Kaye Carpenter (Mike); Brothers-in-law, Broward Kittrell and Jerry Mathews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Reuben and Vivian Howell, and sister, Helen KittrelL
Ken was a loving, loyal, and devoted husband to Jeanette for over 62 years. They met while working together for Christo's 5&10 and married on Christmas Eve of 1961. He retired after working with Delta Healthcare in 2004. Prior to that, he operated his own floor-cleaning business and served 23 years with the FL Army National Guard. Ken was an avid fisherman and after retiring enjoyed visiting his home in Abbeville and spending time on Lake Eufaula.
Pallbearers will be Austin Howell, Tyler Howell, Grant Howell, Will Spencer, TJ Spencer, and Aaron Thompson.
Services will be held on Monday, June 24, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home, 2201 N Partin Dr. Niceville, FL 32578. The family will accept friends and family for a visitation an hour prior. Chaplain Jeffrey Ryan to officiate.
