Raymond Glenn Mankin, known to most as Glenn, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2025, at the age of 88 in Augusta, Georgia. Glenn was born in East Palestine, Ohio on February 12, 1937, to Raymond Lott and Theresa Marie Mankin. He married his high school sweetheart, Janice Rae Wilhelm, in East Palestine on June 16, 1956. He graduated from Youngstown University in 1966 where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering, while working full-time and raising 2 boys.
Glenn had a long and successful career as an engineer and consultant. He served as President of the Optimist Club and President of the School Board at his children’s school. He was active in his community, and he coached numerous youth athletic teams in Poland, Ohio. He was an outstanding coach, and an amazing athlete himself. He played basketball at his high school and was a four year member of the local American Legion Baseball Team.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Jan, his sister Loretta, his 3 children Glenn, Art and Michelle, 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Glenn was dearly loved by his family and countless friends. In keeping with his wishes, there will not be a funeral service, but please contact a family member for information on where to send flowers.
