R. Lanora Mongelli, age 92 of Clovis passed away peacefully, May 19, 2025. Lanora was born in Hanna, Oklahoma on August 18, 1932. Her parents were Joseph James Parnell and Sarah Ann Parnell. She was married to Robert Estep in 1950. She worked and lived in Clovis and raised her family. She married in 1977 to John Mongelli. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She grew up in Oklahoma and their family came to California in 1945 to find a better way of life. She is survived by her two daughters; Barbara Estep Garner of Clovis, Melinda Mongelli Doty of Fresno, Ca, two sons; Timothy Estep of Stockton, Ca and Mark Mongelli of Upland, Ca. She has 13 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild who has passed away, and two more great-grandchildren on the way. She is survived by her brother, Carl Parnell of Fresno, and sister, Lillian Audelo of Clovis. She loved her many nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her sisters; Huldene Rosier of Madera, Rena Martin of Fresno and her brothers; Edgar Helms of Texas and Jack Parnell of Fresno. A celebration of life will be held on July 19, 2025 at 11a.m. at Clovis First Assembly of God Church, 1185 Sunnyside Ave., Clovis, Ca. and will be officiated by Pastor Dan Zemlicka. The family would like to give special acknowledgements to her many caregivers at A Place Called Home during the last 2 1/2 years, and to Aseracare Hospice for their dedication and exceptional loving care shown to our mother and family. No words can even express the appreciation and gratitude.
