Rachael Desiree Loken

Rachael Desiree Loken, 41, passed away at her home on January 3, 2025. Born in Charleston, SC, on November 6, 1983, Rachael was a daughter of the late Brett and Michelle Mullen. The Mullen Family traveled to many different states before finally settling in Wisconsin to build the Mullen Family Farm. Rachael enlisted in the United States Army on February 1, 2007.
Rachael proudly served in the Army as a Paralegal for eighteen years earning the rank of Master Sergeant. She served in Heidelberg, Germany; Fort Hood, Killeen, TX; Fort Benning, Columbus, GA; and finally at Fort Bragg, Fayetteville, NC. During her service she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Management, cum laude. Rachael's fondness for the natural world was unmatched. Her free time was spent hiking, gardening, and soaking in the sunshine. Her passion for wellness shaped her active lifestyle, mindful eating, and self-care rituals. Rachael had a fearless spirit and travelled extensively with friends and family to discover the world around her. Rachael's contagious joy and enthusiasm for life inspired all who knew her, encouraging them to live a life of adventure and happiness. Her greatest joy in life, more than anything in the world, was being the mother of her son – Wyatt Alexander.
Rachael is survived by her husband of eleven years, Chris Loken; son, Nate Loken; sister, Samantha Skeens; niece, Sophia Skeens; and many more loving family and friends.
She was greeted in Heaven by her son, Wyatt Alexander Loken; parents, Brett and Michelle Mullen; grandparents, Joe Mullen, Carrie Mullen-Gorka, and Robert and Mary Hamlett.
A funeral service with full military honors will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Pinehurst.
