Sandra "Sandy" Lea Loken

Sandra “Sandy” Lea Loken, 63, of Pleasant View, Utah, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, at home, surrounded by friends and family. Born on December 2, 1961, on Fort Wainwright, in Fairbanks County, Alaska. Sandy was a loving wife, a terrific mother, and an energetic grandmother. She was also a cherished member of her community.

Being a member of a military family, Sandy moved quite often as a child. Her formative years were spent across the Western United States in Alaska, Washington, Montana, Oregon and Idaho. In Idaho she met and married the love of her life, Jeffrey Loken. They were married August 18, 1979, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple, in Bonneville County, Idaho.

She enjoyed playing games as a family. She was curious and adventurous; she loved exploring new places. She shared in fellowship with her religious community. Her greatest passion was serving others, wherever she found a need.

Sandy is survived by her husband, Jeff; six children; many grandchildren; and sister, Molly Blackburn. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sharin Bell; her father, Glen Higley; and her sister, Holly Higley.

Her funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant View 12th Ward Chapel, 900 West Pleasant View Drive. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
