Rachel Leigh Bitter, born on September 20, 1986, departed from this world on October 27, 2025. She was a kind-hearted soul who loved all living things, with a special fondness for dogs. Her love extended to cats, horses, rabbits, chickens, and even the smallest critters like ants. Rachel found joy and inspiration in music, art, and anything creative. She had a particular interest in the study of plants, which often brought her peace and happiness.
Rachel cherished her family dearly. She is survived by her mother, Jeanne Stearns (Steven); her brother, Ethen E. Bitter (Shelby G); her sister, Kelsey J. Bitter; her beloved niece, Briley Claire and her significant other, William Just. She also leaves behind her Aunt Linda Trainor (Michael), Uncle Jim Fowler, and her beloved cousins; Ashleigh Meyers (Joe), Jeff Rooney, Al Flores, and Tricia Morse.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Bitter, her grandmothers, Barbara Voss and Thelma Bitter, her aunt Lori Suzanne Fowler as well as her cousin Philip Kliebert.
Rachel's absence will be felt deeply by her family and friends, including her loyal dog and her colleagues at FedEx, who considered her part of their family as well. She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life in Rachel's honor on November 8, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.at Little River Bluffs 11030 Garden Lane Folsom, Louisiana.
