It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nolan Francis Moran, born on October 11, 1940, in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. He passed away on September 11, 2025, in Folsom, Louisiana.
He is survived by his loving wife, Genevieve G. Moran, with whom he shared almost 64 years. Nolan was a devoted father to his son, Jeffrey Moran, who proceeded him in death and daughters, Dina M. Lala (Sky) and Jenny Lynn Moran (Travis). He took great pride in being a grandfather to his grandchildren: Alisa, Brooke, Kasie, Krystal, Kody, Desiree, Chevy, and Lil Jon. He also had 11 great-grandchildren.
Nolan was preceded in death by his father and his mother, Virginia McCabe Moran, four brothers and five sisters.
Nolan enjoyed being a member of both the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus. He had a variety of hobbies that brought him joy. He loved to buy and sell farm animals, enjoyed playing at the casino, and found great pleasure in singing and dancing with his beautiful wife Jenny. His passion for horse racing, boxing and sports was obvious.
Nolan (Pops) will be remembered by his grandkids as being a jokester that sang to them and made them laugh and was always happy to see them.
A visitation for Nolan will be held on September 16, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM at Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, located at 75212 Lee Rd, Covington, LA 70435. Following the visitation, a memorial service will take place at 12:00 PM, concluding with an inurnment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, 2260 W 21st Ave, Covington, LA 70433.
