Rachel Martirano, 70 of Toms River, passed from this life peacefully at her home on January 6, 2023. Rachel was born January 6, 1953 in Newark, New Jersey to the late Frank and Ramona Martirano. Rachel was a loving daughter, trusted sister and devoted aunt. She was the founder of the Jersey Shore Doll Club and ran her own business, Amaryllis Cigars and later Amigos Cigars. She was an avid doll collector, and loved reading and find a word puzzles. She recently started online courses to finally recieve her associates degree.
Rachel is predeceased by her parents, Frank Martirano; Ramona Martirano; and sister, Josephine Thompson and brother in-law James Thompson.
Rachel is survived by her brothers, Pasquale Martirano of Lakewood; Salvatore Martirano and sister in-law June of Middletown.Her devoted nieces and nephew that she thought of as her own children Jennifer Thompson, Mara Thompson and Jason Thompson. Her nieces Gina Marie Wagner,Monica Martirano, Francesca Martirano and nephew, Salvetore Martirano. Along with many cousins, aunts and uncles and friends. Her loving dog Teddy, and her dog and cat nephews Gabby, Rommy and Ginngy.
A Memorial gathering will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023, from 4pm to 6pm at Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 995 Fischer Blvd., Toms River. All Committal Services will be held privately.
