Rachel Rivera, 8 years old, of Dimmitt, Texas, left this world into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, in Dimmitt, Texas. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt, Texas.

Rachel was born on September 19, 2016, in Lubbock, Texas, to Roxanne Rivera and Jacob French. She was raised in Dimmitt and was home-schooled. Rachel loved many things in life: God, music of all kinds, her cats, dogs, and chickens, watching Bluey and Gabby's Doll House, and swimming, but her favorite was her family. Rachel loved her family dearly and enjoyed and cherished her time with them all. She was full of joy and love and took care of everyone's needs before her own. Her presence in their home, her beautiful smile, and her laughter will be dearly missed by those who love her.

Those left to cherish Rachel's memories are her mother, Roxanne Rivera of Dimmitt, Texas, and her father, Jacob French of Abilene, Texas; her older sister, Irma Montes of Dimmitt; her maternal grandparents, Juan Jose and Irma Rivera of Dimmitt; her paternal grandparents, Miguel and Kristy Rodriguez of Abilene; her aunts and uncles, Jose Alberto Rivera and his wife Rosalinda of San Antonio, Melchor Rivera of Levelland, Rachel Rivera of Oklahoma, Ramiro Rivera of Seminole, Rogelio Rivera of Dimmitt, Rose Rivera of Lubbock, Justin French of Abilene and Marissa French of Artesia, N.M., and all their families and numerous cousins.

Rachel is preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Melchor and Angelita Hernandez, and Alberto and Teresa Rivera; great aunts and uncles, Maria Trevino, Maria Castenada, Matias Hernandez, and Mario Hernandez; and a cousin, Marissa Bermea.
