Rachel Strouth Obituary
A native of Person County, she was the wife of the late Henry Edward Strouth and the daughter of William Henry Lewis, Sr. and Nora Zimmerman Lewis, both deceased. She was formerly employed as a switchboard operator with a telephone answering service company. Rachel was a member of the Walter B. Ellis Post 63 American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed going to Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. She loved her family and friends dearly.
Survivors include her daughters, Dana Ford and Nancy Smith; siblings, Barbara Conner, Linda McFayden, Cathy Tuck, Terry Lewis, Tony Lewis, W. L. Lewis, Jr., and Fletcher Lewis; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Day; sister, Pamela Saunders; and brother, Elmer Lewis.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Monday, June 23, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Rachel, please visit our floral store.
