Radovan "Ray" Spasenovski, 78, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL. He was born on October 18, 1946 in Serbia, came to the United States in 1968 and was a former resident of Chicago, IL, living in Lincolnshire for the past 33 years. Ray was a professional water polo athlete in Serbia and continued his passion for swimming throughout his life. He was the owner of United Realty Group in Chicago and also bought and renovated the Congress Theater, where he remained a property manager for many years. Ray was a member at Lifetime Fitness in Vernon Hills and was known by all because of his love for socializing and made many fellow friends while there. He will be remembered as a kindhearted soul who loved everyone and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving is his wife of 46 years, Nikolija; children, Daniela (fiancé Zeljko Dobrosavljevic) Markovic, Aleksander (Mary) Spasenovski and Goran (Joyce) Djurdjevic; grandchildren, Mila, Danica, Aleksander, Nikola, Danny & Milan. A visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. followed by a service at 11:30 a.m. Friday, October 3, 2025 at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Monastery in Libertyville. Interment will follow at St. Sava Cemetery.
