Rafael Diaz Obituary
WORCESTER-Rafael Angel Diaz, 68, of Worcester passed away Saturday, February 4 surrounded by his family.
He leaves his wife, Carmen Padro Diaz; three children, Rafael Alejandro Diaz of Springfield, Maria Diaz Padro of Worcester and Monica Diaz of Worcester; four grandchildren, Ines Maria Matias, David Antonio Matias, Xavier Alexis Rivera and Ivan Manuel Rivera; five siblings, Adalberto Diaz, Pedro Pablo Diaz, Alma Enid Diaz, Heriberto Diaz and Emil Jesus Diaz and nieces and nephews. He was born in Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico son of the late, Rodrigo and Ramonita Diaz Aponte
Rafael was a produce manager at several area grocery stores. He was a longtime member of the Cathedral of Saint Paul.
A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, February 7 at 10am in the Cathedral of Saint Paul, 15 Chatham St. Burial will be private. Visiting Hours are Monday, from 5 to 7pm at Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester, MA.
