Rafael Bolivar Veloz

Rafael "Rafi" Bolívar Veloz Jr., born May 20, 1991, in Lowell, Massachusetts, passed away on September 23, 2025, at the age of 34.
Rafael was raised in Lawrence, Massachusetts, just outside of Boston, where he developed his lifelong love for sports and the Boston Red Sox. Music was another passion of his. He loved Dominican music, the band "The Killers" and everything in between. Rafael was also deeply proud of his Dominican heritage and cherished the rich culture and traditions of his family, who hail from the Dominican Republic. Above all, he loved spending time with his family, who were the center of his life.
He will be remembered as a devoted son, brother, husband, grandson and friend whose kindness touched everyone who knew him. His sweetness, willingness to help and the love he shared will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
Rafael is survived by his wife, Nicolette Perez Santos; his parents, Rafael Veloz Sr. and Venilda German; his sister, Laura Veloz-Powell.
Services to honor Rafael's life will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Crowell Brothers Funeral Home in Buford, Georgia. Family and friends are invited to mourn the life of such an amazing person.
