Rafeal Cadriel
Rafeal (Ralph) Cadriel, 71, of Wharton, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025, in Sugar Land. He was born on August 6, 1954, in Mackay, Texas, to Jessie and Mary Cervantes Cadriel.Ralph was born and raised in Wharton County. He graduated from Wharton High School with the class of 1973. Ralph was employed with Wharton ISD and later, Bay City ISD, he enjoyed his years of work and helping others at the schools. Ralph loved playing a good game of dominoes, visiting with friends at the nursing home, watching wrestling on tv, making friends and helping anybody in need. Ralph was a dedicated member of the St Vincent de Paul Society at church. His greatest joy came from the people around him. He never met a stranger.Ralph is preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Mary Cadriel, and his brother, Jessie Cadriel. He is survived by his loving sisters, Mary Ann Torres and Selia “Sally” Cadriel both of Wharton. He is also survived by his nephews, Bentura “Alex” Torres, Miguel Torres, and Adrian Torres.Visitation will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Wharton Funeral Home after 5 pm with a rosary recited at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Wharton at 10 am.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Methodist hospital in sugar land and Saint Christina EMS in Wharton.
