Raiford Tetstone, Sr., age 86, passed away on June 5, 2024, at Haven Hospice Lake City, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 21, 1937, in New River, FL to the late George and Obelia Tetstone. Raiford's life was a tapestry woven with hard work, perseverance, and a generous spirit that endeared him to all who crossed his path.

Throughout his life, Raiford wore many hats - from being a self-employed plumber for 25 years to working in construction framing houses and even driving trucks on his own terms. His career spanned various fields, showcasing his versatility and dedication to providing for his family.

Those who knew Raiford will remember him as an outgoing individual who never met a stranger. His warm personality and welcoming nature made him a cherished friend to many. In his free time, Raiford enjoyed hunting, traveling, and camping - activities that allowed him to connect with the great outdoors. Raiford is preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 34 years, Nancy Tetstone.

He will be deeply missed by his children: Norman Jean Bass of Pensacola, Marie (Joe) Forsyth of Keystone, Lori (Jimmy) Hudnall of Lake Butler, Vickie (Danny) Benton of Brooker, Bogie (Cindy) Tetstone of North Carolina, George (Susan) Tetstone of DeLand, and Sandra (Nic) Watts of Lake Butler. Additionally, he leaves behind 23 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren whom he adored. In addition to his immediate family, Raiford is survived by his brothers Otis (Deanne) Tetstone and Lonnie Tetstone and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation services will be held on June 12th from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Archer-Milton Funeral Home in Lake Butler followed immediately by a graveside service at Ft. Call Cemetery. Serice will be officiated by Pastor Terry Elixson. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Archer-Milton Funeral Home.386-496-2008 www.archerfuneralhome.com
