Ralph Edward Broadaway passed away peacefully on Monday, June 24, 2024, in Paragould, Arkansas. Born on October 21, 1947, in Searcy, Arkansas, Ralph was a man of unwavering integrity and a loving, devoted father whose presence enriched the lives of those around him.
Ralph's early life laid the foundation for a lifetime of dedication and service. After completing his education, he answered the call of duty and joined the United States Navy, where he served with distinction on nuclear submarines, the USS Lafayette and the USS Nathanael Greene. His time in the Navy instilled in him a profound sense of responsibility and honor, traits that he carried into all aspects of his life.
Following his military service, Ralph worked for Hogland's Yamaha and Honda. He then went on to working as chief of security for Mckellar Hotels in Las Vegas. Ralph then embarked on a career at Emerson Electric, where he worked until his retirement. His commitment to his work was second only to his dedication to his family, whom he cherished above all else.
As a father, Ralph's love knew no bounds. He instilled in his children the values of respect, hard work, and the importance of family. He was a constant presence in their lives, offering guidance, support, and unconditional love. His children will carry forward the lessons he taught them and the love he gave them.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Ammon and Bessie Broadaway; and siblings, Vernon Broadaway and Vera Baty.
Survivors include his sons, Eddie Broadaway (Amy) and Jason Broadaway (Victoria Jabara); sisters, Venita Johnson, Velma Edmonds, and Circe; and one granddaughter, Taylor Broadaway.
Service will be announced at a later date.
