Ralph Leroy Easter

Siletz resident, Ralph Leroy Easter, 72, passed away, Thursday, January 8, 2026 at his home in Siletz, Oregon.

Ralph was born August 13, 1953 to Walter Jake & Esther Delores (Bell) Easter at the Toledo Hospital in Oregon. He attended the Springfield High School until 1969 On November 3, 1968 Ralph was playing football with the Springfield Miller's and he scored the longest defensive touchdown. He had lived in Jasper, Springfield, Logsden, Siletz, Reedsport and Scottsburg, Oregon. Ralph was a Yarder Engineer and had worked for Christian Brothers, Dewey Goodell Leeway Logging Co. as well as for Surcamp and Lee Smith until he retired in 2010.

He always supported youth sports and enjoyed beading, making traditional fans and bustles for dance.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Walter & Esther Easter; sisters, Caroline & Carlene Easter; and numerous aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his brother, Calvin W. Easter of Siletz, OR; sister, Corliss Attebury of Lincoln City, OR; son, Issac L. Easter and Velvet Malloy of Waldport, OR; daughters, Lisa and Kenny Paul of Siletz, OR and Chesh' Ki' Easter of Siletz, OR; grandsons, Nakai Easter of Siletz, OR, Jayden Blacketer and Brandy Law of Toledo, OR and Tyson Paul of Siletz, OR; granddaughters, Leslie Lundy and Micah Quade of Coburg, OR, Illeana and Donald Werder of Siletz, OR and Harley Easter of Seattle, WA; great-grandchildren, Phoenix Lundy Quade of Coburg, OR, Rilynn Stead, Marlow Paul both of Toledo, OR and Kenith Paul of Corvallis, OR, Mariela Lopez Attebury and Dimitri Borja both of Lincoln City, OR; nieces ,Angeline and Mike Orona of Siletz, OR, Jennifer and Leslie Robinson of Siletz, OR, Delight of Los Angeles, CA, Emmy Attebury of Lincoln City, OR; nephews, Anthony "Bubba" Attebury of Lincoln City, OR, Louie Orona of Siletz, OR and Jett Orona of Siletz, OR; and numerous other cousins.

Wake will be held 4:00 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2026 extending through the night at the Siletz Tribal Center, 201 SE Swan Ave. Siletz, OR 97380. Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2026 at the Siletz Tribal Center with a graveside service following at the Paul Washington Cemetery. Memorial potluck to immediately follow the graveside at the Siletz Center. Officiating the services will be William "Buster" Lane.

Pallbearers include Tyson Paul, Jayden Blacketer, Nakai Easter, Louie Orona, Jeffery Paul, Dimitri Borja, Anthony "Bubba" Attebury, Justin, Christian and Josh McKnight.

Honorary pallbearers include Calvin and Issac Easter, JJ Hudson, John Lesser, Melvin McKnight, Art "The Fart", Joseph "JoJo" McKnight, Jett Orona, Jason McKnight, Kenny Paul, Doug Crawford, Chester Ben, Charlie Butler and Donny Werder.
