Ralph Arlen Glenn, a lifelong resident of Rawlins, Wyoming, passed away on August 17, 2023 at the age of 90, at the Memorial Hospital of Carbon County with his family by his side. Ralph was born on a kitchen table in Plainville, Kansas. At the age of 10, he moved from Brush, Colorado to Rawlins where he attended high school. Ralph married the love of his life, Betty Jane Tabor on October 17, 1952 in Hanna, Wyoming and they we married for 62 incredible years.
Ralph prided himself on a hard day of work, starting his career in the mines in Hanna and then becoming an equipment operator. He held numerous other positions for the Union Pacific Railroad, Northern Gas, and the Sinclair Refinery, where he finished his career and retired.
Ralph was an avid University of Wyoming Cowboys fan and a lifetime ticket holder. He was a proud member of the Cowboy Joes Club. Ralph served on the City Council of Rawlins for numerous years, was a one0time mayor, and was instrumental in establishing the Glenn addition for the residents of Rawlins to have a place to board livestock. More than anything, Ralph lived to be a husband, dad, granddad and friend. Plus, he cared deeply for the city’s employees and never missed a chance to greet a stranger.
Ralph was preceded in death by Ralph Harold Glenn (Father), Erma Murray (Mother), Betty Jane (Tabor) Glenn (Wife), Lois Layman (Sister), Harold Glenn (Brother), and numerous other family members. He is survived by his four sons, Ralph E. Glenn of Windsor, CO; Steven B. Glenn (wife Mary) of Rawlins, WY; Travis L. Glenn of Rawlins, WY and Todd Glenn (wife Tina) of Bismark, ND; his brother and sisters-in-law Wesley Tabor and Carol Tabor and Ginny Autio; plus numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Rawlins Cooperative Parish / Methodist Church, 800 23rd St. Rawlins, WY 82301 on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 1:00 PM. Inurnment will follow at the Rawlins Cemetery.

Ralph was a giant of man with even a bigger heart. I've known Ralph all my life as a dear friend to my parents and all our family. Always a good day when you ran into Ralph and share laughs and stories. . Steve you are in our thoughts and prayers.
