Ralph Lloyd Hendrix

May 20, 1944 – October 24, 2025

Ralph Lloyd Hendrix, 81, of Washburn, Missouri, went to meet the Lord on October 24th, 2025, in his home surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Ralph was born on May 20th, 1944, to Buddie and Mildred (Henry) Hendrix of Washburn, Missouri.

He spent many years farming and raising beef cattle and also worked in construction, custom built homes and repairing grain silos across Oklahoma and Texas. Ralph proudly served as Sheriff of Barry County for eight years, dedicating himself to helping people from all walks of life.

Ralph's greatest joys were simple family, friends, and a good coon hunt and fishing. He was known for raising some of the best hounds in the area and for his trademark orneriness that everyone came to know and love.

Above all, Ralph's family was his pride and joy. He leaves behind a wonderful legacy of love, hard work, and laughter.

Ralph was a member of Cassville First Assembly of God Church.

He is survived by his beautiful wife, the love of his life Irene (Turner) Hendrix; his children, Teresa Gayle (Hendrix) Bowman and her husband, Greg, of Fredericksburg, VA; and Robbie Jean (Hendrix) Jester and her husband, Chuck, of Washburn, MO.

Additionally, Ralph is survived by his grandchildren: Christopher Lynn Bowman and his wife, Summer, of Fredericksburg, VA; Gary Wayne Wallace and his wife, Sunshine, of Jane, MO; Brent Allen Wallace and his wife, Jessica, of Washburn, MO; Keisha Dawn Jester and Tinleigh Jester, both of Washburn, MO; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Ralph's surviving family also includes brothers, Larry Hendrix of Washburn, MO, and Gary "Gizz" Hendrix and his wife, Carrie, of Washburn, MO; sister, Sue Popanz and her husband, Jim, of Pea Ridge, AR; brothers-in-law, James Banks of Cassville, MO, and Billy Ike Henry of Washburn, MO; sisters-in-law, Olene Hendrix, Barbara Hendrix, and Elizabeth Hendrix, all of Washburn, MO; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents Buddie and Mildred Hendrix, brothers Thomas Clifton Hendrix, Kenneth Lavern Hendrix, John Ernest Hendrix, Robert Franklin Hendrix, and Reams Howard Hendrix, as well as his sister Betty (Hendrix) Banks, and sister in law Betty (Turner) Henry.

Ralph will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him, but his love and laughter will live on through the many lives he touched.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude's or entrusted to White Funeral Home and Crematory in Cassville, Missouri.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 5-7 pm at White Funeral Home and Crematory.

The funeral is scheduled for Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Cassville First Assembly of God, with Pastors John Henry, Paul Homan, and Rick Hendrix officiating. A graveside service will follow at King Cemetery in Seligman, Missouri, led by Pastor John Henry and closing prayer by Doug Henry.
