Ralph Izzi Obituary
Ralph Izzi, formerly of Stamford, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2025 in Concord, NH. Born Oct 12,1947 to the late Dorothy and Ralph Izzi in Stamford, Ralph was known for his unique sense of humor and his love of Baseball. Ralph graduated from SCHS in 1965 and Belknap College in 1969. He had a full career in Finance beginning with his first job at IBM Corp where he met his wife, Joan Drabeck Izzi. Ralph and Joan raised twin boys in Norwalk, and later in Wilton, CT. After retiring from Nessen lighting, Ralph and Joan moved to Manchester, NH in 2016 to be closer to their grandchildren. Ralph also worked for the elementary school system in New Hampshire.
Ralph was forever a NY Yankee fan and Mickey Mantle was his hero. Even when he had moved to NH, Ralph travelled down every summer to attend Yankee home games in the Bronx. He collected Yankee signed baseballs and Yankee baseball cards. He always wore a Yankee hat – even when he was living in Red Sox territory!
Ralph was pre-deceased by his wife Joan Drabeck Izzi. He leaves behind 2 sons, David (Erica) Izzi of Hookset NH and Paul Izzi of Norwalk CT, 3 grandchildren, David and Michael Izzi, and Olivia Bartlett Izzi. He also leaves behind 2 sisters Diana Kraus of Yonkers NY and Dotti (Dennis) Dahm of Stamford CT along with numerous cousins.
A celebration of life will be planned for Spring.
