Ralph Delmas Jackson

Ralph Delmas Jackson of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025, at the age of 95. He was born August 15, 1929, in Aiken, South Carolina, to Clem and Beulah Jackson. He was married to Shirley Jackson for 72 years. Ralph also served in the United States Army for a brief time and was one of the first employees of Kleinpeter Dairy, doing home-to-home milk delivery service. For many years, he was self-employed as an upholsterer. He loved playing guitar, visiting with family and friends, and was always ready with a story to tell anyone that would listen.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Shirley Crochet Jackson; parents, Clem and Beulah Jackson; sister, Sarah Harral; brothers, C.W. Jackson, Ted Jackson, Howell Jackson, Homer Jackson, and Francis Jackson. 

He is survived by his daughters, Sharon Trotti (Larry), Robbin Purcell (Bill), Cindy Armstrong (Mark); Catherine Bergeron (Jeff), and sons, Dale Jackson and Brent Jackson; grandchildren, Jeremy Trotti, Joshua Trotti, Kasey Shirley, Blake Purcell, Alaina Price, Rachel Grigg, and Carlie Jackson; great-grandchildren, Collin Trotti, Hudson Trotti, Hunter Trotti, Myla Shirley, Peyton Shirley, Jameson Price, and Wyatt Price; great-great-grandchild, Beckett Trotti.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge, on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge. A reception will follow at the funeral home after burial. 

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Holly Court who made his last year as comfortable as possible.
