Funeral services for Arvel "Ralph" Kilpatrick, 91, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe. Pastor Robert Hill and Reverend Daniel Hill will officiate. Interment will follow at The Lord's Campfire Cemetery, the Old Lapine Methodist Church Cemetery, West Monroe, under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe. A visitation for family and friends will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday until the time of service.
Ralph was born in Ouachita Parish on July 29, 1934 and passed away in West Monroe on December 18, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. Ralph was married to Floy Pinton for 16 years and from that union had one son, Ricky Kilpatrick, married to wife Cindy and granddaughter Corri of Shreveport. Floy passed away in 1972.
In 1974, Ralph married Sharon Evans Kilpatrick and they had two sons, Jerry Kilpatrick married to wife Melonie and granddaughter, Naomi. Also son, Evan Kilpatrick, wife Dana and grandson, Wesley, all from West Monroe. Ralph and Sharon had 51 years together. He is also survived by his sister, Myrle White. Ralph was educated in Ouachita Parish and a graduate of the first class of West Monroe High School. He served six years in the United States Army, reaching the rank of E6, of which he was very proud.
He worked at Olin Kraft for 23 years and upon retirement went to work as farm manager for ULM and loved working with the cattle. Following this, he worked for the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Department and retired in 1997.
Ralph and Sharon were very active in church ministry serving Pleasant Hill Congregational, Antioch Methodist and New Life Assembly of God. They enjoyed playing music at local nursing homes with their group, Strings for the Master, until his health declined.
Ralph loved his morning trips to McDonald's, driving his tractor and going for car rides in the evening through Cheniere.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Bobby Kilpatrick; twin sisters, Eva Bonnette and Neva Brown; and sister, Mona Fay Kilpatrick.
Honoring Ralph as pallbearers are Scott Owens, Matt Griffin, Ken Bonnette, Bruce Bonnette, John Brown and Douglas Dollar.
