Ralph was born January 7, 1933 in Freeport, IL to Ralph and Lauretta (Kern) LaBore. He was a proud Veteran of the Korean War serving from 1952 - 1956 in the United States Air Force. Ralph lived all his life in northern IL but enjoyed spending summers at Leech Lake in northern MN and winters in Ft. Myers Beach, FL & Mesa, AZ. He developed a strong work ethic as a young man at his parents downtown Galena Restaurant. Ralph retired as the owner/president of Wilson Electric Company in 1994 after 27 years of dedicated service. An avid Chicago Cubs fan and long-time season ticket holder - Go Cubbies!
Ralph was a member of St. Rita's Catholic Church since the early 60's and served for many years as Parish Council President. He also served as Board President for Carriage Green Estates and was a member of the Rockford Retired Men's club.
He is preceded in death by his first wife Patricia (Bryden) LaBore as well as their sons David Scott LaBore and Timothy Edward LaBore; parents Ralph and Lauretta LaBore and sisters Elizabeth "Bette" Koser and Mary "Linda" Chapman.
Surviving relatives include his son Peter Charles (Boguslawa) LaBore from Naperville, IL; grandchildren Robert Charles LaBore and Patricia Marie LaBore; second wife Sandra (married January 7, 1995); stepsons David and Matthew Anderson; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ralph's name to Vets Roll.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at St. Rita Catholic Church, 6254 Valley Knoll Drive, Rockford, IL 61109. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Burial will conclude at a later date in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery, Rockford, IL.
