I heard about the new absorbable stent from Abbott and immediately thought of Dr. Each and our working together to that first angioplasty done at Mt.Carmel and the cardiology conference with Andreas and Eric Tool in Columbus. He was driven for excellence and always a friend. The world is diminished without him.

Ralph Lach and i knew each in medical school and our team, "The Medics" played fast pitch softball in an industrial league. We did well. During one season one of the opponents' players was oveheard to say, "You know why they're so good? Ever' last one of 'em is a doctor" (we were just students still). Later Dr. Lach was a cardologist to whom I sent many patients. And still later we were partners in our office building at 1800 Zollinger in Upper Arlingon. I always enjoyed Ralph's intellectual sense of humor and precise way of thinking.

I was a Classmate of Ralph's at John Carroll U, Class of 1955. I remember he was a loyal class member and attended most of our reunions until recently. He was a friend and supporter of JCU and will by all of us in the class. I wanted to express my sympathy
to his family and friends.

Ralph truely added an important chapter to Columbus Cardiology in the last thirty years of the 20th century. He was an excellent teacher to all the students and young physicians whom he inspired. He will be missed.

For Barbara, Thom, and all the family- I am so very sorry for all of you, as I witnessed your love for Dr. Lach. He is at peace and for that I am grateful. He was a phenomenal physician!!! and per my Dad, a darn good tennis player. Above all that he was the patriarch of The Lach Family. The memories are painful now as you miss his physical presence but in time they will bring you comfort and some smiles. Barbara you lived your vows! You and your family are loved and held in my prayers. Thommy I left you a voicemail
