Ralph Robert Lemon

Ralph Robert 'Bob' Lemon, age 74, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, July 19, 2025-on his birthday.

Born in Cadiz, Ohio, on July 19, 1951, Bob was the son of the late Ralph Lemon Jr. and Ruth Virginia (Snider) Dennis. Throughout his life, Bob pursued technical training in various trades, attending several vocational schools where he studied heavy machinery maintenance and heating and cooling systems.

But Bob's true passions were music and art. A gifted musician, he could pick up almost any instrument and play it with ease-piano, banjo, mandolin, ukulele-you name it. He sang in multiple bands over the years and proudly took home a State Band Championship title in the 1970s. It was during a performance at a bar in Magnetic Springs that Bob met the love of his life, Emily Weisenbuerger. Together, they shared a joyful life filled with travel, laughter, and endless music.

Bob was also an accomplished artist, known for his detailed colored pencil drawings. With a sharp wit and a deep appreciation for a good (or groan-worthy) dad joke, Bob brought warmth and humor wherever he went.

After settling in Florida, Bob worked for many years as a heating and cooling technician and general maintenance contractor, until a workplace fall in 2002 led to his retirement. Despite the injury, Bob never lost his generous spirit. He was always the first to lend a hand-whether it was mowing a neighbor's lawn or showing up for a friend in need.

Though he never had children of his own, Bob's heart was big enough for everyone. He "adopted" countless friends, neighbors, and loved ones into his chosen family. He will be deeply missed by his sister, Laura (Jerry) Morse of Prospect; step-son Jesse L. (Cheryl) Pickrel; grandchildren: Jesse Aaron and Brittany (Nikki); and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife and best friend, Emily; and his sister, Ruthann Dennis.

Graveside service will be Wednesday July 30, 2025 at Claibourne Cemetery, 26763 OH-37, Richwood, OH at 11AM with Celebrant Galen McLeod officiating.
