Ralph O'Ferrell Obituary
January 12, 1939 - February 10, 2026
Ralph Edward O'Ferrell, 87, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, in Mathews County, Va., after an extended illness.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, February 16, 2026, at Mt. Hope United Church of Christ. Interment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.
Ralph was born on January 12, 1939, in Greensboro to the late Raymond and Blanche O'Ferrell.
Ralph was a long-time member of Mt. Hope United Church of Christ and a current member of Locust Grove Global Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy O'Ferrell; brother, Howard O'Ferrell; and Carol Ann O'Ferrell.
He is survived by his daughter, Roxanne O'Ferrell Yarina and husband, Frank; granddaughters, Amber (Sean) Henderson, and Brooke (Kyle) Boswell.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Forbis & Dick North Elm Street Chapel, 1118 N. Elm Street, Greensboro, NC 27401.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Riverside Walter Reed Hospice, 7358 Main St., Gloucester, VA 23061, or Mt. Hope United Church of Christ, 2400 Mount Hope Church Rd., Whitsett, NC 27377.
