Ralph Lawrence Preston Jr.

Ralph Lawrence Preston Jr., 60, of Cross Plains, Texas, sadly passed away on March 26, 2026. Born on October 26, 1965, in Rock Island, Illinois, Ralph was the son of Ralph Lawrence Preston Sr. and Madalynn Joy (Schoolen) Preston.

Ralph was a true cowboy at heart and a dedicated family man. He poured his love and hard work into everything he did-from his pipeline jobs to building his beloved shop. He had a deep passion for roping, riding horses, and taking care of his place. Ralph was particularly proud of his lawnmower, lovingly nicknamed 'the Hog,' which he used to keep the property looking its best. His love for life extended to his children and grandchildren whom he was very proud of, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

He is survived by his wife, Jasmin Preston; daughter, Tiffany & husband Troy Rentfro; sons, Ty Preston and Travis Preston; daughter, Sage Preston; grandchildren, Tana and Tripp Rentfro; brothers, Dale Preston, Sam & wife Brittany Preston, Shannon & wife Stacy Preston; his father, Ralph Preston Sr.; and numerous nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother Madalynn Joy Preston and sister-in-law Robin Preston.
