Ralph Heyward Ringer, 97, of Newberry, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Springfield Place.

Born on March 8, 1928, in Pomaria, he was a son of the late Edron Oras Ringer, Sr. and Eunice Elberta Eargle Ringer. Ralph was a graduate of Pomaria High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and retired from the City of Newberry Recreation Department. Ralph enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Betty Kyzer Ringer; sons, Heyward Charles (Laura) Ringer of Graniteville and Alvin Olin (Melonie) Ringer Lexington; a daughter, Susie (Rudy) Gardner of Chapin; nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Floriede Lindler and a brother, Edron Ringer.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, October 27, 2025, at Faith Lutheran Church by the Rev. Randall Derrick. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, 1505 Wilson Road, Newberry, SC 29108.

Active pallbearers will be grandchildren.
