Ralph Joel Travis, age 67, born March 12, 1957, in Waverly, TN passed away on January 11, 2025, at his home in Waverly, TN. Ralph was an avid lover of wrestling, his 2 dogs, Merle & Ozzy, and his new trucks. He also very deeply loved his 4 daughters and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ralph worked at B&B Dredging of Waverly, TN for over 48 years, where he was the current owner of the company since 2014. Ralph worked side by side his brother, Raymond Travis, for the past 30 years.
Ralph is survived by his daughters Daphney Baggett (Nick), Shannon Proctor (Jonathan), Taylor Russom (Bradley) and Carrie Thompson (Kent); grandchildren Ashlyn Nunn (Trevor), Hannah Flores (Will), Jacob McCluskey, Abby Baggett, Gavan Proctor, Landon Proctor, Garrett Proctor and Reese Thompson; great grandchildren Konnor Nunn, Walker Nunn & Ella Nunn, Brothers David Travis, William Travis, Raymond Travis, and Douglas Travis, Sister Shirley Moore, and serveral nieces and nephews.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, James & Pauline Travis; siblings, Margaret Travis, Paul Travis, Rickey Travis and Ira Travis; and his precious golden retriever, Molly.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and also on Friday, January 17, 2025, beginning at 12:00 P.M. until the time of service at 2:00 P.M. Officiating the service will be Rev. Harold Hartup. Interment to follow at Gorman Cemetery. All of the B&B employees will be represented by pallbearers, Zach Anderson, J.J Herron, Cory Fortner, Billy Joe Wright, Dustin Stewart and Michael Wiles.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Humphreys County Humane Society.
Arrangements are entrusted to Luff-Bowen Funeral Home.
