Ralph Walker Obituary
Ralph Avis Walker, age 85, passed away on June 8, 2024, in the comfort of his home. Mr. Walker worked for International Paper Company for 43 years before retiring. He was a Deacon of First Baptist Church of Creola and served as Councilman of Creola for 12 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping when he wasn’t spending time with his family.
Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse “Gray” Walker and Marjorie Walker; siblings, Voncille Pope, and Jesse Ryal Walker.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Annette Wells Walker; children, Janiece Parker, David Walker and Brenda Jernigan; grandchildren, Charles “Wayne” Parker, Jon Parker, Jessie Walker, Brook Sampson, Brandice Stacey, and Adam Jernigan; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Nadeen Sheffield; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Services will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, June 17, 2024, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the 12:00 noon service time. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Services will be officiated by Rev. Al Brown.
Pallbearers are Adam Jernigan, Charles “Wayne” Parker, Brayden Stacey, Kaleb Stacey, Gabriel Jernigan, and Tristan Jernigan.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Creola First Baptist Church’s Bus Fund.
