It is with love and gratitude for a life well lived that the family of Ralph Matthias Wurm wishes to share that he went to his heavenly home on August, 24, 2025. Ralph is survived by his loving wife, Louise. Together they were truly blessed with 74 years of marriage.
A hard working and humble man, Ralph retired from Miami Systems in Shelby, Ohio with 47 years of dedicated service. As it was usual back in the earlier days, he also farmed alongside of his father. After the passing of his parents, Ed and Rose Wurm, he continued to farm. Ralph also enjoyed his part time employment at Wurms Woodworking.
Ralph is survived by his children, Kathy and Bob Siegfried, Teresa and Denis Auck, Julie and Steve McCracken, Anita and Terry Wenninger, Dan and Kelly Wurm, Peggy Wurm and Tim Schimpf and David and Tammy Wurm ; 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his siblings, Viola Schalk, Francis Wurm, Germaine Flock and Margie Breyley.
Ralph was a member of St. Bernards Catholic Church in New Washington. There will be a private graveside service that will take place at a later date at St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery in New Washington. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Bernard Catholic Church or the New Washington Volunteer Fire and EMS Department.
While Ralph's passing leaves a space that cannot be filled, his legacy of kindness and love will remain in his family's memory forever.
