Ramanbhai Dahyabhai Parekh passed away peacefully in the presence of family on November 19th, 2024.
He is survived by his wife Bhagavati Parekh and his four children, Kaushik, Asha, Trushna, and Shraddha; his daughter in-law Pragnya, and two son-in-laws, Tom, and Shankar; and four grandchildren Sonali, Akash, Priya and Sahil.
Ramanbhai was born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, where he passionately and tirelessly ran a retail business in partnership with his father and eldest brother. He left Zimbabwe in 1990 and immigrated to America with his family. He was a strong believer in faith, family, education, community and loving kindness. He lived these values every day and instilled them in his children and grandchildren. He served as Trustee, Vice President, and President of Indian Senior Citizens Association of Houston and various other community service roles wherever he lived.
Ramanbhai was selfless and considerate of others, and friendly and welcoming to everyone. His family will miss his warm presence and sunny disposition, but he will remain in our hearts guiding us toward the light, toward goodness and kindness in how we continue to live our lives.
