Viewing and visitation for Mr. Ramiro Garces, 68 of Lubbock, will be 11:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. the same evening. Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Ron Vowels officiating. Burial will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home & Chapel.

Ramiro Garces was born on April 3, 1957, to Trino and Maria Garces in Sinton, Texas. He passed away on the morning of Sunday, March 29, 2026. Ramiro was a man whose life embodied dedication, passion, and a youthful spirit that touched all who knew him.

A skilled welder by trade, Ramiro devoted many years to his work at Scotts Manufacture and Beck Steele, where his craftsmanship and commitment to quality were highly regarded. Beyond his professional life, Ramiro was a man of many interests and talents, deeply appreciated by family, friends, and community alike.

Ramiro’s vibrant personality shone through in his love for dancing and his fondness for collecting old cars, a hobby that brought him joy and connected him with many fellow enthusiasts. In addition to his passion for classic cars, Ramiro was a dedicated collector of farm and ranch collectibles, an interest that reflected his deep appreciation for heritage and tradition. 

His frequent visits to the flea market were marked by warm greetings and familiar faces, a testament to his friendly nature and the strong bonds he formed within his community. He was also an avid fan of the World Wrestling Federation, attending several events and enjoying the excitement and camaraderie these gatherings offered.

His spiritual side found solace and inspiration during his visits to the San Juan Basilica in San Juan, Texas, a place that held special meaning for him. Ramiro’s youthful heart was evident in his enthusiasm for life’s simple pleasures and his unwavering zest for adventure and connection.

Ramiro Garces’s life was a testament to hard work, joy, and an enduring youthful spirit. He will be remembered not only for his skills and hobbies but for the kindness, warmth, and connection he shared with those around him. His legacy lives on through the memories and love of his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Trino and Maria Garces; his brothers, Daniel Garces and Arnulfo Garces; and his sisters, Dora Garces and Genoveva Garces. Their memories remain etched in the hearts of all who cherish Ramiro’s legacy.

Ramiro is lovingly remembered and survived by his three daughters Diana Diaz-Sanabria and her husband Brian Sanabria of Lubbock; Katrina and her husband Antonio Rubio of Pharr, Texas and Ashely Garces of Lubbock; three brothers Raymundo Garces and his wife Annette of Lubbock, Reynaldo Garces and his wife Irene of Wilson and Eddie Garces of Ft. Worth, Texas; two sisters Eloisa Martinez of Slaton and Ofelia and her husband Alfred Guzman of Lubbock; also a grandson Elijah Sanabria of Lubbock; Each carried forward the values and spirit he instilled within them.
