Ramon Aranda Juarez, born on August 22, 1949, in Portero Del Llano, Ojinaga, Chihuahua, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025, in Odessa, Texas.
In 1970, he met the love of his life, and they were married on May 28, 1973. Together, they built a beautiful family, welcoming their first son in August of 1974 and later being blessed with four more children.
Affectionately known "El Maistro" by many of his friends, Ramon was a man of many talents. Whether working as a mechanic or crafting with the skills of a seasoned carpenter, he carried a strong work ethic and a helping heart. Ramon was the kind of man who would give the shirt off his back - he never met a stranger and made friends wherever he went.
He loved to share stories from his life, often over a cold beer with his sons, filling the room with laughter and unforgettable memories. His joy radiated most when surrounded by his grandchildren, especially when handing out ice cream - with one in his hand, too.
Ramon was always the life of the party. He had a deep love for music and dancing and formed countless friendships throughout his life. Above all, his greatest pride and joy were his wife, children, and their families. He stood by them fiercely and loved them unconditionally.
Though Ramon faced a difficult childhood and many hardships, he met every challenge with resilience and strength. One of his favorite sayings was "Para cuando tu vayas, yo ya fui y vine." And though his children often rolled their eyes, they knew - he was always right.
Ramon's love, laughter, and unwavering spirit leave an incredible mark on everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed, and life will never be the same without him.
Those left to cherish his loving memory are his wife Luz Juarez; his children Rogelio (Raquel) Juarez, Rita (Luis) Torres, Linda (Joseph) Gattis, Ramon (Amanda) Juarez Jr., and Ricardo Juarez; his grandchildren Kiana, Rojelio, Krystal Juarez, Luis(Kenzie), Jocelyn, Anthony Torres, Meghan Gattis, Jaden Gattis, Ramon "RayJ" III, Ryan, and Rolan Juarez; his great granddaughter Grace Torres, (arriving this July); his mother Angelina Butanda; his siblings Nicolasa (Ernesto) Sanchez, Socorro Juarez, Guadalupe (Chiquis) Juarez, Bertha (Margarito) Marquez, Luis (Cruz) Tarango, Luz Maria Butanda, and Juana (Armando) Benavides; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Ramon is preceded in death by his grandfather and grandmother Andres and Rita Aranda; his sister Ana Belia Butanda; his nephew Juan Gardea; his step-father Francisco Butanda; his uncle Enrique Aranda; as well as his aunt Alicia Aguirre, and uncle Alfredo Aranda.
