In Loving Memory of Our Father, Ramon Plascencia Sr.
Born on October 27, 1953, in the state of Jalisco, Mexico, our father, Ramon, grew up in Tecolotlán under the loving care of his grandparents. From humble beginnings, he carried with him a deep love for family, faith, and the simple joys of life. A devoted husband to our mother, Maria E. Plascencia, for 47 years, our dad built his world around the people he loved. Our home was always filled with laughter, stories, and the comforting aroma of togetherness. A proud fan of Chivas de Guadalajara, he found joy in the rhythm of the game, much like he found joy in life itself-faithful, passionate, and full of heart. He loved the outdoors-camping, fishing, and creating unforgettable memories with us. Some of our favorite moments were simply spent in the backyard, where he found peace caring for his fruit trees, especially his guava tree, while listening to music. Those small, everyday moments reflected who he was: joyful, grounded, and full of life. Our dad was a man of unwavering faith. As a devoted Catholic, he served in the church with dedication and heart. His faith led him to form a meaningful friendship with Father Pedro, a bond rooted in mutual respect and kindness. That friendship continues to bless our family today-we feel our father's love reflected in the care and compassion Father Pedro continues to show us. He fought courageously against cancer, facing each day with grace, humor, and incredible strength. Even through hardship, he never stopped smiling, joking, and lifting our spirits. He taught us what resilience truly means and showed us that love and joy can exist even in life's hardest moments. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of those he cherished most-our mother, his children, and his grandchildren. He is lovingly survived by our mother, Maria; his children, Ramon Jr., Marcelino, Jose Luis, Lupe, Rocio, and Adrian; and his eleven grandchildren, who were the light of his later years. He is also survived by his mother, Victoria. Our father was our hero in every sense of the word. He was deeply loved and admired not only by us, but by everyone who met him. The closeness we share as a family is because of him-his love, his laughter, and his example. His legacy is one of unity, faith, and unconditional love. He lives on in every memory, every prayer, every song, and every moment we spend together as the family he built and protected with all his heart.
