He worked as an Anesthesia Tech at a VA hospital for 15 years. Ramon enjoyed coin collecting and being outdoors whether it be fishing or having a picnic. He was a fan of the San Francisco 49ers.
He assisted the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe was a member of the CB Radio Club.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rosa (Valencia) Quiñonez of the home; children, Maria Rendon (David) of Bakersfield, CA, Juan Ramon Quiñonez of Menlo Park, CA, Hernesto Quiñonez of Santa Rosa, CA, Rosy Quiñonez of Dodge City; grandchildren, Anna Chavez, Jesse James Chavez, Amanda Rendon, Delia Rendon, Isabel Quiñonez, Isis Quiñonez, Irie Quiñonez, Isaiah Showers (Andrea), Angelica Perez, Michael Perez, and Ruby Perez; great grandchild, Leopoldo Ramon Gonzales; siblings, Javier Quiñonez, Jose Luis Quiñonez, Elias Quiñonez, Graciela Malfavon, Maria Elena Hernandez, Rosa Chavez, Lourdes Guizar, Alicia Quiñonez, Silvia Morales, Jose Cruz Quiñonez, Anabel Quiñonez, Liduvina Quiñonez, y Patricia Quiñonez. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Jaime Quiñonez.
Funeral service will be held at Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 10:00AM with Father John Stang presiding. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Menlo Park, CA at a later date. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Monday, October 13, 2025 from noon to 8:00PM with a vigil at 7:00PM. Dodge City - Ramón Quiñonez, de 69 años, falleció el 8 de octubre de 2025 en su hogar, rodeado de sus seres queridos. Nació el 17 de octubre de 1955 en Aguililla, Michoacán, México; hijo de Ramón Quiñonez y Liduvina Palomares.
Trabajó como técnico de anestesiología en un hospital de veteranos durante de 15 años. A Ramón le gustaba coleccionar monedas y estar al aire libre, ya sea pescando o haciendo un picnic. Era aficionado de los San Francisco 49ers.
Asistió a la Catedral de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe y fue miembro del Club de Radio CB.
Le sobreviven su amada esposa, Rosa (Valencia) Quiñonez; sus hijos: María Rendón (David) de Bakersfield, California; Juan Ramón Quiñonez de Menlo Park, California; Hernesto Quiñonez de Santa Rosa, California; Rosy Quiñonez de Dodge City; nietos, Anna Chávez, Jesse James Chávez, Amanda Rendon, Delia Rendon, Isabel Quiñonez, Isis Quiñonez, Irie Quiñonez, Isaiah Showers (Andrea), Angelica Perez, Michael Perez y Ruby Perez; bisnieto, Leopoldo Ramón Gonzales; hermanos, Javier Quiñonez, José Luis Quiñonez, Elías Quiñonez, Graciela Malfavon, María Elena Hernández, Rosa Chávez, Lourdes Guizar, Alicia Quiñonez, Silvia Morales, José Cruz Quiñonez, Anabel Quiñonez, Liduvina Quiñonez y Patricia Quiñonez. Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres; y un hermano, Jaime Quiñonez.
El funeral se llevará a cabo en la Catedral de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe el martes 14 de octubre de 2025 a las 10:00 a. m., presidido por el Padre John Stang. El entierro se llevará a cabo en el Cementerio Holy Cross de Menlo Park, California, en una fecha posterior. El velatorio se realizará en la Funeraria Swaim el lunes 13 de octubre de 2025, de 12:00 a 8:00 PM, con una vigilia a las 7:00 PM.
