John Quinonez Obituary

John D. Quinonez entered eternal rest September 22, 2025 at the age of 70. He was born September 7, 1955 in Victoria, Texas to the late Raul and Lena Quinonez.

John married his love, Sylvia Martinez on October 20, 1978. He was retired from State Farm Insurance Companies and was an assistant scout master for BSA troop 242. He loved attending his grandchildren's activities, hunting, camping, fishing, kayaking and barbecuing for family. He will be deeply missed by everyone that knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, James Dale Quinonez.

Leaving to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Sylvia M. Quinonez of Victoria, Texas; daughter, Monica Q. Smith (Erich Jayson) of Victoria, Texas; son, John Adam Quinonez of Kyle, Texas; brother Robert Allen Quinonez (Clarabel) of Victoria, Texas; sister Belinda Castillo (Victor) of Lake Jackson, Texas; grandchildren, Analyssa Briseno Hester (Jason), Kayleana Briseno-Smith, Garrett Smith.

The family wishes to thank M.D. Anderson and Hospice of South Texas for their care.

As per John's request a private family service will be held to honor his life.
