Maria Tejeda

Maria Licerio Tejeda, a cherished wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, in Victoria, Texas, at the age of 70. Born on March 12, 1955, in Bloomington, Texas, Maria was a beacon of love and strength to all who knew her.
Maria grew up in a bustling household, the beloved daughter of Lucio Licerio and Maria Luna, both of whom predeceased her. She shared her childhood with a host of siblings, who filled her early years with joy and companionship. Though many of her siblings, Guadalupe L. Ysaguirre, Juanita L. Trevino, Angelita L. Garcia, Leonor L. Hernandez, Carolina L. Benavidez, Modesta L. Villarreal, Pedro L. Licerio, Lucio L. Licerio, Cerilo L. Licerio, and Emilio L. Licerio, have passed on, her brother Ernesto L. Licerio (Beatrice) of Guadalupe, Texas, remains to honor her memory.
She is also survived by her husband, Richard Tejeda, her children, Maria Isabel Noriega of Victoria, Texas, and Rolando L. Trevino of Katy, Texas. Grandchildren, Xavier M. Noriega and Jamie J. Rodriguez, and 2 great-grandchildren, Kacien Noriega and Xayden Noriega
Visitation will be Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 8:00am with a rosary to be recited at 8:15am.
A funeral mass will begin at 9:00am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Victoria, Tx. Burial will follow at San Jose Cemetery in Bloomington, Tx
