Viewing and visitation for Mr. Ramon Ramirez, 59 of Lubbock, will begin at 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. the same evening. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Jose de Dios Gonzalez officiating. Burial will follow at City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home & Chapel.

On the afternoon of Saturday, March 8, 2025, Ramon, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and son, went to be with the Lord. He was born on July 16, 1965, in Lubbock, to Jose and Elvira Ramirez.

Ramon was an accomplished graduate of Estacado High School and South Plains College, Ramon also pursued his education further at Texas Tech University, where he majored in business. This commitment to learning was just one of the many ways he inspired those around him. He embodied the sheer determination of a man who believed in the importance of growth and knowledge throughout life.

He dedicated his life to working with his hands as a self-employed mechanic and auto specialist. Taking great pride in his craft and enjoying the challenges that came with solving mechanical problems, a testament to his ingenious, mechanical mind.

Ramon's passions extended beyond his profession; he found deep satisfaction in fishing and spending time outdoors, where he often sought solace and connection with nature. Ramon's adventurous spirit also shone through his vacations, particularly his trips to San Antonio, where he made memories that will forever resonate with those who loved him.

His infectious enthusiasm for life and adventure left a significant impression on those around him.

A devoted member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Ramon was an active participant in his faith community. He served as a Cursillista, usher and played a role in various church activities, embodying the spirit of service and dedication. His proudest accomplishments reflect his unwavering commitment to his faith.

Ramon Ramirez leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love for family, and dedication to community that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew him. In each smile, in every moment spent outdoors, and in the memories, he created with his family, he will be dearly remembered and profoundly missed.

He is preceded in death by his father Jose Ramirez; a brother Raul Ramirez; sisters Rosa Maria Rey, Virginia Subia and Gloria Bastardo.

He is survived by a son Jessie Ramirez; daughters Victoria Ramirez and Adriana Landin (Esteven); his mother Elvira Ramirez; a brother Angel Ramirez; a sister Juanita Garcia (Tony); six grandchildren all of Lubbock
