Ramon Marcellino (Nieves) Tavena, born on August 5, 1960, passed away on May 29, 2024, at the age of 63. He is survived by his beloved spouse, Esther Valenzuela Tavena (Choko), children, and grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Margarita Casillas Tavena (Aaron Alvarez), Veronica Tavena (Joe Perez), and Juan Tavena III (Valerie Corrales). Ramon was preceded in death by his siblings Luis (Pico) Tavena, Abraham (Lincoln) Tavena, and Francisco (Piwi) Tavena, Lucio Tavena, and Juanita Tavena as well as his parents: Lucrecia Martinez and Juan G. (Santos) Tavena II.
Ramon was born and raised in Guadalupe, Arizona. He graduated from Marcos de Niza High School class of 1979 in Tempe, Arizona. He began his career at Motorola Company before transitioning to a career as an HVAC Technician. Later, he retired from his role as a non-emergency medical transportation driver for the Yaqui Tribe.
Ramon was known for his great sense of humor, wonderful personality, and compassionate heart. He dedicated his life to supporting and adopting children, demonstrating his unwavering kindness and generosity. He was deeply involved in his traditional cultural Yaqui ceremonies, reflecting his strong commitment to his heritage.
Ramon's memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

Hey dad your anniversary is coming up... I can still hear your voice saying "... we will meet in our next life" .... I hope you made it to your destination as I haven´t had a visit from you in my dreams in months... just know I think of daily and often wonder how things could have been different in every possible way...
