He was preceded in death by his parents: Jose and Vicenta Turrubiates; one son: David Turrubiates; one sister: Enedina Galvan; and three brothers: Genaro, Rudy, and Angel.
He is survived by his wife Connie Turrubiates of 46 years; four sons: Ramon Turrubiates Jr., Rodney Turrubiates and wife Mary, Oscar Ontiveros and wife Cathy, and Benito Ontiveros; four daughters: Elma and husband Marc Lowrie, Nancy Turrubiates, Sylvia Gonzales, and Vanessa and husband Jesus Gonzalez; three sisters: Stella and husband Vicente Baldarez, Alicia and husband Frank De La Huerta, and Irene and husband Oscar Garza, 25 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and had many friends and will be missed by many.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 31, 2025 from 2:00 pm until after Rosary. Rosary will be held at 6:00 pm at Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home.

I am saddened by the news of Ramon´s death. He was a good man. I remember his smile and his humor. He was always laughing and telling jokes. Although it´s been many years since we worked together at Runnels Mud, I have fond memories of all the good times we had. He will be missed. Prayers for Connie and the family.
