Ramona O. Morrison

Ramona O. Morrison of Bowling Green, KY returned to her heavenly home on Thursday December 18, 2025. Ramona was born on June 13, 1940, and has been a follower of Jesus Christ since she was a young girl. She is preceded in death by her parents James Woodard & Thelma Busby Oden, her loving husband Jimmy Morrison, devoted son Steve Morrison, sister Juanita Palmer and brother David Wendell Oden. She was an incredibly loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children, Ramona Kay Belcher (Mark) and Beverly Stephens (Bill), and daughter-in-law, Suzanne Morrison; her grandchildren James Matthew Morrison (Melanie), Amanda Kay Belcher, Sara Stephens, Michelle Kay Thurman (Matt), Mark Alan Belcher (Anna), and Nick Stephens; and her great-grandchildren Hadley, Madeline, Kela, Trace, Montana, Noelle, Tyson, Chloe, and Barrett.
Ramona is a graduate of Bowling Green High School, Class of 1958 and of Bowling Green Business College She was a successful real estate agent for more than 40 years. She helped hundreds of families find their homes in Bowling Green, some of which were constructed by Morrison Built Homes, a company she and her husband Jimmy created. She served proudly on the board of Habitat for Humanity, as Past President of the Bowling Green Board of Realtors, and received multiple awards acknowledging her as an outstanding realtor. She was a member of Hillvue Heights Church and First Baptist Church of Bowling Green, KY.
Ramona, known as Mama and Nana to her family, will be greatly missed. For many years, her family has gathered at "Nana and Bear's house" for every holiday and birthday, and her grandchildren grew up spending every Friday night in her home. Annually, it was tradition for Ramona to create the perfect photo opportunity for her Christmas card. If you ever received one, you know how special that tradition was. It was her great joy to spend time with family. She was admired & loved by so many as her life was a reflection of her Lord and Savior's love.
Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church on Tuesday, December 23 beginning at 10am. The funeral service will begin at 1:30pm. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery #2. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of J. C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Oden Benevolence Fund, c/o First Baptist Church, 621 E 12 Ave., BG KY 42101. The Oden Benevolence Fund was established by Ramona many years ago in honor of her parents. To this day, this fund supports members of the Bowling Green community in need.
