Ramona Ballin Soliz

Ramona B. Soliz, age 88, passed away on September 28, 2025. Ramona was born on June 19, 1937. She was a housewife who enjoyed baking, cooking, sewing, and playing bingo scratch offs. Ramona will always be remembered for her amazing tamales, pan de polvo, sewing and ironing, her passion for baking during the holidays, her signature millionaire pie, and her words of wisdom. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, grandmother, mother-in-law, and friend.

Ramona Soliz is preceded in death by her husband Antonio O. Soliz Sr., mother, Paulina Castaneda, son Antonio Soliz Jr, and her brothers, Julio Castaneda and Lupe Castaneda.

Ramona B. Soliz is survived by her children Genoveva Soliz, Roble Jesus Soliz Sr., Annette Perez, Andres Soliz Sr., David Soliz, Prince Robles (Juan), Celia Macias, and Rosie Soliz (Gabriel), thirty one grandchildren: Laura, Benito, Monica, Ruben, Evita, Maricela, Amanda, Roble Jr., Jesus, Martin, Elesar, Cristobal, Andres Jr., Noel, Michael, Reyenne, Eric, AJ, Sofie, Shelby, Roger, Roman, Mingo, Jaelene, John II, Drew, Christian, Jimmy, Joel, and Gabby, fifty great grandchildren, and nineteen great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Roberto Castaneda, and Jose Castaneda.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.

Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers are Charlie, Ruben, Joel, John II, Roy, Jesse, Noel, and Eric. Honorary pallbearers are Martin, Benito, AJ, Michael, Christian, and Roman.
