Ramona Jean Stone 93 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at the Pickering House. She was born on June 23, 1932 in Athens, Ohio to the late Homer and Velma Laughlin.
She was a retired LPN and had worked at Winchester Place Nursing Center and several other nursing homes in her career.
Ramona was a member of the Red Hat Society, raised and cared for her horses, had a love for animals including watching birds. She loved to square dance.
She is survived by her children, Earl Owen Stone, Phillip A. (LuAnn) Stone, Thomas Andrew Stone all of Lancaster, Melody Sanders, Renee (Donny) Myers all of Pleasantville and Julie (Charlie) Parker of Hopewell; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brother, Delbert Laughlin of McConnelsville; sister, Mag Leach of Lancaster and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Georgeann.
Friends may visit Wednesday, September 3, 2025 from 4-7 p. m. at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Caring Cremation® to follow.
