Randal Dane Cockerham, 71, went home to be with the Lord peacefully and among family on Sunday, July 20, 2025. He was born in Seymour on August 17, 1953 to the late Herbert D. and Anna M. (Wetzel) Cockerham.
Randy, a beloved husband, son and father, has many other titles he will continue to hold. He was known as a skilled craftsman in roofing and other areas of construction. Randy enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a true sports fanatic, especially when it came to Indiana University basketball. Known for his "unique" and dry sense of humor, he was a homebody whose greatest passion was spending quality time with his family.
Left behind to cherish Randy's memory are his beloved wife Cindy (Bryant) Cockerham; his children, Tammi M. (Billy) Best, Randy "Dee" Cockerham, and Gary (Sherry) Gayhart; ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; and sisters, Sharron Baker and Brenda Campbell.
He is preceded in death by his parents, listed above; and seven siblings.
Funeral services for Randy will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Voss and Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 316 North Chestnut Street, Seymour. Pastor Tim Lichtey will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Randy will be laid to rest immediately following at Riverview Cemetery.
